At Önnestadsgymnasiet, we offer five specializations and a total of nine vocational pathways within the Natural Resource Program. Here, we teach and study natural resource management in a practical way through the specializations forestry, animal care, nature tourism, horse keeping, and agriculture. The tone between staff and students is personal, classes are small, and both the facilities and educational land are of high quality.

Since 2010, Hushållningssällskapet Skåne has been the main employer for Önnestadsgymnasiet, providing a stable and secure foundation for the operations.

There are just over 50 employees working in coordination for our 230 students. Önnestadsgymnasiet is located 8 km northwest of Kristianstad.

About the position:

As a machine operator/instructor with us, you will primarily be responsible for driving and handling agricultural machinery, although machine service and repairs are also part of the role.

This is a varied job where every day is unique and challenges are numerous. You work closely with colleagues in a tight-knit team and support practical moments where safety, order, and professional pride are in focus. The role is varied and eventful with a comprehensive school farm.

About you:

You have an interest in machinery and are passionate about sharing your knowledge with young people who will work in tomorrow's natural resource sector. You are confident in your professional role, have good collaboration skills, and contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful work environment. You work in a structured manner and find it easy to switch between independent work and teamwork.

If you have good knowledge of driving agricultural machinery and a pesticide application certificate, we view this as a strong merit. If you do not have a pesticide application certificate, you should be willing to obtain one.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least upper secondary education
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Category B driving license
  • Good understanding of machinery, repair, and workshop work

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Pesticide application certificate
  • Good knowledge of driving agricultural machinery
  • Experience in machine service, repair, and workshop work
  • Experience working in a school environment

Scope: 100% permanent (starts with a 6-month probationary period)
